This would be much better than following sites of Grace. I Got 80 hours in and just got sick of it trying to find were to go next felt just as tedious as clearing a ubiosft map after awhile I just like to have an idea of were to go like an NPC tell me to go to a location would be Nice a bit like Kingdom come when an NPC told me to follow the river north to find my destination. And side quests which are decent for the most part but are few and far between. There exploration gets predictable you Know you will find a Boss in a cave, items that are useless most of the time. side bosses are not really well designed a few are but most just feel like after thoughts. The boss design is suited to a game like bloodbourne with how fast they are but they have us Dark souls movment and slow combat aminations. Elden just does not have that same impact. No other Boss fights an any game has given me that. This How I feel, Bloodbourne and Sekrio felt as Good as hitting a PR in the Gym or wining a Boxing match. I'm glad people are able to enjoy this game but personally I just couldn't like c'mon, I didn't have an issue at first as I expected the rest of the game to be fantastic but it's clear they went quantity > quality The only bosses I actually enjoyed were Margit (to an extent), Godrick, Godfrey (primarily for the music tbh), and Radagon.Ī more minor issue I had was, as you said, the blatanly reused animations, models, etc. After defeating most of the bosses I wasn't thinking to myself "I did it!" I was thinking to myself "God, I'm glad that's over." which is a shame since the boss designs themselves are probably some of the best in FromSoftware. The AI greatly improved which isn't an issue by itself, in fact I welcome it, but instead of balancing it out they decided to give every boss a chained moveset of 15 attacks, each one 1-2 shotting you, with some of them having seemingly random delays. The bosses are so artificial, and so are some of the enemies esp. Mountaintop of the Giants is like 75% literally nothing Yeah, the art direction is amazing (though it was a pain in the ass to traverse point A to B) but it's literally filled with nothing, nothing except the same copy paste enemies and the same copy paste dungeons with a "boss" that is literally a regular enemy but amplified. I love Elder Scrolls and Dark Souls so the idea of an open-world Dark Souls was something I was really excited for but damn was I pretty disappointed I'm glad a lot of people seem to enjoy it though. Yeah I really hate to say this and I'm prepared to be downvoted to oblivion but Elden Ring did not live up to the hype for me. I guess in a couple months, the hype dies down and people return to senses. There is no way I would ever understand how people can say “x game is better than y game” while x game one shots you.

ago Sekiro also does this to you with the parrying. It’s completely the opposite of what FromSoftware used to be, making difficult games that you need to overcome by learning and skill, all in all while co-oping here and there, sometimes wholesome, sometimes toxic. Elden ring: enemy projectiles traveling faster than light with the accuracy of a cyborg olympian 41 Continue this thread level 2 2 mo. This game is made to take your money and many of you, including me foolishly fell for it. Same animations, reusing enemies and bossfights, giving enemies shitton of health for artificial gameplay extension, even the generic AAA open world money raking methods are implemented. It’s the FromSoftware syndrome.Īt last, the game is cheap, admit it. And the fact that everyone fell in love with the game regardless of this is honestly baffling and I would’ve never imagined to see the souls community steep this low. If you don’t have any of those you will face hell in the game.Īs you can see my main complaints are about difficulty, which is unfair and boring in the game. If you tell yourself that every weapon can be used for the game like pretty much Dark Souls 3 you are lying. They give you a wide array of weapons, yet only a couple weapons are actually usable. Second of all, this game is insanely broken. This is what makes a game actually garbage in my opinion, and that resonates with my opinion on Elden Ring. Almost all end-game bosses are not satisfying anymore because they just turned out to be huge annoyances and RNG (like Malenia). They simply toned it up compared to Dark Souls 3 by giving bosses easy one shots. What makes Elden Ring so significantly worse is it’s artificial difficulty. Before the gatekeeping and protectionist shitshow starts (which will happen nonetheless), hear me out why Elden Ring is bad
